S3 Finale! Two James Thurber stories, fully dramatized in the Pulp-Pourri Theatre style by the Narada Radio Company. First off is Thurber's 1942 classic, "The Catbird Seat", telling of the troubles of Mr. Martin, an office worker, who must defend himself against the machinations of a so-called efficiency expert. How Martin deals with her is something you don't want to miss. After that comes "The Topaz Cufflinks Mystery" from 1932, a vignette about a man, a woman, a cop, and a very strange experiment. Together these stories are comedy gold!

Originally released 02/03/16, “The Time-Cutter” is an original story by our producer-director, Pete Lutz. Originally written and produced as a live “radio” drama on the stage at Harbor Playhouse in 2001, Pete revised the script for Pulp-Pourri Theatre in 2014. This production is sponsored by Ō-Sha-Lene Motor Fuel and stars the Narada Radio Company.

John Dark lives in the year 2050 but believes he somehow got unstuck in time and originally comes from another era, one in the past. He makes a living in Celestial City as a time-traveling private detective, calling himself “The Time-Cutter”.  This episode of Pulp-Pourri Theatre outlines John Dark’s latest case, which could, on a very personal level, be called his strangest. Listen and enjoy!

Originally launched 2/17/16, "The Medici Boots" is adapted from a story of the same name by Pearl Norton Swet, which appeared in an issue of the long-running Weird Tales pulp-fiction magazine. Adapted, directed and produced by Pete Lutz. Set in the year 1935, it's the story of John Delameter, his wife Suzanne, and his brother Eric -- it's also the story of a pair of beautifully styled boots, made in the 15th century and cursed in the same era. Weird things start happening to the Delameters once they inherit these boots from their historian uncle...

Originally written and produced as a live “radio” drama on the stage at Harbor Playhouse in 2001, Pete revised the script for Pulp-Pourri Theatre in 2014. Dr. Philip Schaefer is a geneticist in Celestial City who has invented what's being called an Earth-shattering device: The D.N.A. Pit, which is capable of altering any living creature's DNA. Dr. Schaefer wants to use his device for the good of mankind, but forces beyond his control may try to subvert his miraculous device to their own twisted ends! Listen and enjoy!

Originally released 4/28/16, "The Noose" is an original play by guest playwright Alan Stolzer, produced and directed by Pete Lutz and starring The Narada Radio Company. Set in the Deep South of the United States, this is a story of vengeance and the struggle to maintain family loyalties in this fast-paced modern era. An old woman who witnessed a brutal act as a young girl attempts to make her jet-setting granddaughter understand her need to even the score before she passes on. Listen and enjoy!
